Walking Tours at The Embarcadero

embarcadero memorialThe San Diego Maritime Museum is now offering free, guided Historic Walking Tours along the  San Diego Bay.  The walking tours will be offered twice a day on weekends at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. and will generally last about 45 minutes to an hour.

The FREE tours will be sponsored by the Port of San Diego and will cover about one mile of the waterfront beginning in front of the USS San Diego Memorial at the foot of G Street and Harbor Drive, just south of the USS Midway Museum.

Throughout the tour, guides will point out and share the history of San Diego’s finest points of interest like Seaport Village, the USS Midway,  Urban Trees , and the military heritage art at Tuna Harbor Park as well as the art sculptures that found along the length of the North Embarcadero.

Dowtown San Diego Condo Owners |  Columbia District & Marina District

urban treesDowntown San Diego condo owners at Bayside San Diego condos, Electra San Diego condos, and Park Place San Diego condos will certainly benefit from these tours in their own “back yard”.  It is amazing how many residents don’t even know that these tours are available and don’t even know what the Urban Trees, seen to the left, are all about.

Tours are first come, first serve and will be held through the end of June.  If you run late for a tour, usually you can catch up and will be albe to spot them by finding the tour guide with the blue and white Port of San Diego flag.
