Solara Lofts Penthouse

I recently took some time to visit Solara Lofts San Diego condos again because I was told by a representative of the developer that they were going make some exciting changes to the top penthouse floor.

Solara Lofts is located on the west side of the Cortez Hill neighborhood, just blocks away from Balboa Park and Little Italy. It is a unique building because the developer, Skandia, is also the general contractor so they are able to make personalized modifications to the interiors and are designed to fit individual buyer’s needs.

Skandia decided to make some exquisite upgrades to the top floor of Solara Lofts common areas to set the penthouse floor a cut above the rest. In the 8th floor elevator lobby they are adding elegant kimona silk and water chestnut tiles as well as an Urban Metals bronze spiral casings around the elevator doors. Furthermore, there will be espresso wood baseboards added on the entire 8th floor complimented by new paint colors and new designer artwork. The top floor at Solara Lofts will now proudly wear the exquisite finishes traditionally common to what people expect of the penthouse.

What makes this Solara Lofts Penthouse unique are the 12 foot ceilings and custom layout creating bedrooms with a frosted glass triple track sliding panel system. The bedroom doors can be wide open which creates a huge loft space or they can be closed which gives the feeling of a traditional condo. The Eurostar windows at Solara Lofts are one of a kind and have a tilt and turn feature where they can be tilted to allow some air flow from the top or they can be opened all the way unlike most downtown condo buildings. The flooring is ash hardwood floors and has a warm honey colored feel which keeps the light flowing throughout.
