Harbor Club 2 Bedroom Condos

Harbor Club Condos are truly a treasure in regards to downtown San Diego lofts.  Given the fact they are one of the older towers in downtown San Diego only indicates just how prime their location is.  Harbor Club is truly a timeless building when it comes to architectural design and with an address like 100 or 200 Harbor Drive, could it get any more chic?

Harbor Club

The most unique aspect of Harbor Club San Diego Condos is that there are only 3 units per floor in the building.  Each floor, not including the Penthouse units, have two Harbor Club 2 bedroom condos and one Harbor Club 1 bedroom condo.  This makes Harbor Club one of the most exclusive San Diego condo residences in downtown San Diego.   Other luxury condo buildings in the Marina District have five to eight condos per floor.

Harbor Club Two Bedroom Condos

Because of the simple fact there are only two different Harbor Club two Bedroom Condo Floorplans, I would like to examine both in detail in this article.  First, the Harbor Club “bubble unit” which is one of the most coveted floorplans in all downtown San Diego.  Why is this floorplan so popular?  It all boils down to views, liveabilty, location and luxury amenities.   Harbor Club is the closest residential building to the San Diego Bayin the Marina District.  With little room for future development and obstruction of views, this places Harbor Club in a category of it’s own.

The Bubble Unit

B-1

In the North Tower at Harbor Club, 100 Harbor Drive, the Bubble Unit is the 05 plan meaning that if the residence number were 2005, that would be the bubble unit on the twentieth floor.  For the South Tower, 200 Harbor Drive, the Harbor Club 2 bedroom condos bubble plan is the 02 unit.  The bubble unit in both of these buildings have the same floorplans, but they do have a different view orientation.

The popularity of the Bubble Plan is astounding; these coveted plans rarely come on the market and definitely demand a premium for price.  With views that span approximately 200 degrees, there are not many buildings that can match such spectacular and dazzling views of the Bay, Pacific Ocean, Coronado, Point Loma, Petco Park  and even Mexico.

The bubble floorplan contains 1474 sq/ft and every room boasts a view that says WOW!  In most luxury 2 bedroom condos in downtown San Diego, one or more of the rooms suffer a lack of view.  That is NOT the case in the Bubble Unit!  With ample living space and separate dining space plus a balcony that is set into the curve of the building, this floorplan is great for entertaining and living.  One can enjoy the balcony at all times of  day and not get blasted by the westerly coastal wind.

Want to see the views from the Bubble Unit?- Check out this HD video of the views from the 24th floor of the South Tower Harbor Club two bedroom condo bubble unit!

In the past 24 months, there have only been 5 of these Harbor Club Two Bedroom Condos sold.

Alternate Harbor Club Two Bedroom Condos

The other Harbor Club two bedroom condos flooplan is also a great layout.  Unlike the bubble unit that has the distinguised seperation between the living space and dining space, this Harbor Club 2 bedroom condo floorplan has one large great room.  The total size of this floorplan is 1572 sq ft and the views are still good, but don’t span the same range as the bubble plan.  Don’t get me wrong, this is a wonderful  floorplan with good views, but the Bubble unit is truly a one of a kind, special layout that cannot be rivaled for the size.

Harbor Club Amenities

In the third Quarter of 2010, the Harbor Club Amenities were remodeled.  The remodel includes almost everything on the 6th floor deck that bridges between the two towers and includes:

  • Pool and Jacuzzi were reconstructed
  • Added new waterfalls and a waterfeature with fire pit
  • All new landscaping and new patio furniture
  • All new gym equipment and flatscreen televisions in the Fitness Center
  • For now the Cabana remains the same, but rumor has it, it will be the next feature to be remodeled.
