7/8 – Midnight Catfish Craze | Lake Poway, 14644 Lake Poway Rd | 4:00 – 11:45 p.m. | San Diego’s only nighttime catfish tournament

7/9 – Bake at the Lake | Lake Hodges | 7:30 – 10:30 a.m. | Admission $10 – $15 | A 4-mile cross-country race on the trails of Lake Hodges benefiting Mission Vista High School Cross Country Teams

7/9 – 7/10 & 7/16 – 7/17 – Annual World Championship Over-the-Line Tournament | Fiesta Island, Fiesta Island Rd, East Mission Bay | 7:30 a.m. – dusk | FREE | Over 50 years of adult rugged sandbox softball play: 1,200 teams, almost 2,400 games in 2 weekends

7/10 – 2011 Carlsbad Triathlon | Tamarack State Beach, Carlsbad | 8:00 a.m. | Begins with an open-water ocean swim, followed by a bike course and finally a run along the Pacific Ocean.
