Bayside San Diego Penthouses…

…Best Condo in Downtown San Diego

It’s a matter of opinion, not a statement of fact.  The discussion of  “the best condo in San Diego” is always subjective, but Bayside scores high in nearly every element of Downtown living.

Let’s start with view.  Above the 20th floor, Bayside views are undeniably among San Diego’s best.  And because of Bayside’s location on the north end of the Embarcadero, most will never change.  Daytime, nighttime, dusk or dawn, Bayside Penthouses offer breathtaking 270 degree panoramas of city lights and water.

Since its premier three years ago, the buzzwords at Bayside have included Snaidero cabinets, Viking appliances and Caesarstone countertopsThe Bayside kitchens turned out as beautifully as promised.  All of the finishes and interior design, from common areas to amenities are benchmarks in Downtown living.

Real Penthouse Homes

Among recent San Diego Condos, many simply didn’t offer enough space for living and entertaining.  Bayside Penthouses offer over 3,200 square feet   Room proportions set up well for owners who are accustomed to this kind of space in their current residences for living and entertaining.

Abundant storage and large (really large!!!) closets give these condos a further sense of home.  This seems to be a criteria greatly appreciated by clients who are downsizing or choosing a second home.

Timing for Bayside Penthouses

Bayside was the fastest selling condo building in the state of California in 2010.  By March of 2011, the Bosa Development sales team had closed all but 4 of the building’s 232 condos.

In the preceding 60 days, two of the condos they sold were these penthouses.  One to a client of mine.  At that moment there were two remaining to be sold and there were offers on both.  Neither closed and both remain on the market today.

A Realtor’s lesson learned

Last month I had clients visit from Edmonton, Canada.  After showing dozens of La Jolla properties, they decided that a beach condo at La Jolla Shores was what they wanted.  There were 4 available, the season was over and the pace at which they had recently sold was anything but brisk.  This week three are gone–the one that remains is horrendously overpriced.  The real estate market is fickle and can surprise us.

With only two Bayside Penthouses remaining, we need to be urgent to market them.  We don’t want to be complacent because there hasn’t been any recent demand.   These that remain will likely sell at almost half the price that they were originally offered.  I don’t want buyers to miss out on this rare opportunity.

Come have a look at what San Diego’s best penthouses offer.  My clients living in the 36th floor Bayside Penthouse say it’s the lifestyle they’ve always dreamed of!

Our clients tell us that you get a lot for your money in the San Diego Penthouse market.  Let us schedule showings for you.
