Grocery Outlet- East Village

Downtown’s Newest Grocery Store

Deep consumer discounts have finally arrived for Downtown residents!
A new independent grocery store has opened in the East Village that will fill a much needed niche that the other downtown grocers lack: Value Pricing.

Grocery Outlet Bargain Market is located on the corner of Tenth Avenue and Market Street. A convenient and prime location, accessible to all downtown neighborhoods. this independently owned grocery store is family owned and operated by Steven and Kim Smith, and their children.  They chose to open a business here in San Diego because their children are attending school at SDSU and USD.  They are also big Charger fans, so it was a decision that mad perfect sense…

Upon entering Grocery Outlet, I wasn’t sure what to expect.

I was pleasantly surprised with the cleanliness, organization, quality of the products, and the level of customer service at Grocery Outlet.

I took time to meet with Kim Smith, and she was very friendly and approachable. She said that they are just thrilled to start a business in the East Village and engage on giving back to the community.

I recommend stopping by Grocery Outlet, I think you will be pleasantly surprised!

It’s a great store to have here in the city, I’m there all the time. Any news on the Historic Police Station Project? Its already August and I’m afraid its at a dead end again.
