New San Diego Central Library Grand Opening

Central Library Dedication Celebration and Sneak Peek

It is finally here!

30 years in the making, The New San Diego Central Library will be opening on Saturday, September 28th, 2013 from 11:00 AM- 6:00 PM.

The New San Diego Central Library is located at 330 Park Boulevard, San Diego, CA 92101- Located in Downtown San Diego’s East Village Neighborhood.  (Park Boulevard at 11th Avenue, near Petco Park.

New San Diego Central Library Dedication Ceremony

Schedule of Events: 11:00 Am – Dedication Ceremony

Join library donors, supporters and dignitaries for a public dedication of the New Central Library to the San Diego Community.  The ceremony will feature the Navy Band, San Diego Children’s Choir and additional surprises.

Noon- 6:00 PM- Family Friendly Street Festival and Sneak Peek inside the New Central Library-  Get an excluse look inside the first floor of the New Central Library and Auditorium, before it’s OFFICIAL OPENING on Monday, September 30th from 9:30 AM- 8:00 PM.  (Special Hours Opening Day Only)

Music-Exciting musical performances by Hullabaloo, the Heroes, the Paul Cannon Band, Clint Perry & The Boo Hoo Crew and many more!

Fun- Interactive Children’s activities that include:  arts & crafts, storytelling, author meet-and-greets, and more.

Food- Enjoy food and snacks throughout the festival!
