Oceanside is the northern most beach city in San Diego county. It is a lovely beach community that features 3.5 miles of beautiful all-sand beaches, the Oceanside Pier and the Oceanside Harbor. Oceanside beaches are popular with surfers, body boarders and sunbathers alike and play host to numerous surfing, body boarding and swimming competitions throughout the year . The Oceanside Harbor and Marina has 950 pleasure boat slips and provides great access for boating, sport fishing and sea kayaking. Harbor village is perfect for taking a stroll and offers boutiques, restaurants and cafes. The Wyndham Oceanside Pier Resort located right at the Oceanside Pier is one of the most recent additions to the beachfront area. Oceanside is also home to historical sites including the San Luis Rey Mission and Heritage Park.
