A Patriotic Top Off for the New Central Library

East Village, Downtown San Diego

If you haven’t noticed a significant change to San Diego’s beautiful downtown skyline lately, you must not have been looking!

The San Diego New Central Library is quickly taking shape, and now it’s most pronounced feature has received a fitting crown…

4th Of July In San Diego

Just in time to celebrate our Nation’s Independence on the 4th of July, a flag was raised and added to the last piece of the iconic dome crown of our beautiful New Central Library.

Although the library will not officially open until next summer, the exterior structure has reached its completion height.

Hats off to the men and women working on this project, and as San Diegan’s we will be proud to have such a fantastic building that represents the city’s commitment to our future, as it will set the bar for public libraries that serve the communities needs for literacy in the 21st century.
