6/22 – 34th Annual Ocean Beach Street Fair & Chili Cook-off | Ocean Beach, Newport Avenue (4800-5000 block and surrounding areas)| 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. | FREE | Ocean Beach’s very own beach festival and amateur chili cook-off with live entertainment, artist alley, vendor booths, beachside beer garden, kids area & more

6/29 – Oceanside’s Independence Day Parade | See website for route | 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. | Join us for the 19th Annual Oceanside Independence Day Parade. Come see floats, bands, walking groups, cool cars and much more.  The theme this year is “The Spirit of Freedom”.
