1/4 – Annual San Diego Resolution 5k & 15k | De Anza Cove, Mission Bay | Race begins at 7:30 a.m. | A scenic Mission Bay Park run benefitting charities to keep the environment healthy

1/4 – 1/5 – Western Surfing Association Championship Tour | Oceanside Harbor South Jetty | 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.  | Surfing competition to qualify competitors to the West Coast Championship, US Championships and prime events. Sponsored by Western Surfing Association.

1/17 – 1/19 – Del Mar Antique Show | Del Mar Fairgrounds – O’Brien Hall | Friday & Saturday 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., Sunday 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. | Adults $8, 50% off with coupon from website, under 17 free with paying adult | $5 per item for appraisal of antique items

1/18 – Kids Marathon Mile | LEGOLAND Resort, One LEGOLAND Dr, Carlsbad |  7:00 a.m. registration, 8:00 race starts  |  Moms, dads, and big kids are invited to join the fun in this non-competitive 1-mile run/walk through LEGOLAND® California.

1/19 – Carlsbad Marathon & ½ Marathon | Westfield Plaza Camino Real, 2525 El Camino Real, Carlsbad | 6:00 a.m. Marathon, 7:30 a.m. half-marathon

1/19 – 1/24 – San Diego Restaurant Week | Various participating restaurants throughout San Diego | Enjoy a 3-course meal for $20, $30 or $40 for dinner or $10, $15 or $20 for lunch, depending on the restaurant

1/19 – 33rd Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Parade | Harbor Drive Embarcadero, Downtown San Diego | Parade starts at 2:00 p.m. | One of the largest celebrations of its kind in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The parade will include floats, bands, drill teams, fraternities & various organizations, churches youth groups.

1/26 – Lake Hodges Trail Run 5k | Lake Hodges – meet at boat dock | 9:00 a.m. | Proceeds from this event will help build a biogas conversion tank for cooking at the Tumaini Childrens Village in Arusha, Tanzania

1/26 – Miss San Diego Pageant | Ruth Chapman Theater, Eastlake High School | 2:00 p.m. | Contestants from all over San Diego County compete for the title of Miss San Diego and Miss San Diego’s Outstanding Teen. This pageant is a preliminary to Miss California and Miss America pageants
