San Diego February 2016 Events Calendar

2/1 – 2/29 – Museum Month | Participating Museums | Refer to website for museum list participating in 50% off admission | Macy’s Museum Month gives San Diegans a chance to discover what’s new at 45 area museums with incredible savings. Participants can pick up a free Macy’s Museum Month Pass at any local Macy’s store to enjoy half-off admission to all of the participating museums through the entire month of February.

2/1 – 2/29Romantic Valentines Winery Chauffeured Tour | San Diego County | 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. | $149 per person | Enjoy romantic, panoramic vineyard views as you and your loved one taste superb local wines (about 18 pours!), paired with gourmet food, and lots of fun.

2/4 – 2/14 – 26th Annual San Diego Jewish Film Festival | Various Theaters in San Diego County | Refer to website for times | Annual presentation of American and international feature films, documentaries and short subjects exploring the Jewish experience.

2/5– 24th Annual Brazil Mardi Gras | Gaslamp Downtown | 9:00 p.m. – 1:30 a.m. | See website for pricing | San Diego Brazil Carnaval is one of the largest most authentic Carnaval Events in California.

2/6– Gaslamp Quarter Mardi Gras Parade & Celebration | Gaslamp Quarter | 5:00 pm – Midnight | See website for ticket & pricing info | Gaslamp San Diego Mardi Gras is San Diego’s most beloved nightlife street party.

2/8Dancing with the Stars Live! | Balboa Theater | 7:30 p.m. | Prices Vary | Featuring some of the show’s most popular competitors, this live tour will recreate the most memorable dances from the program’s 21 seasons, as well as showcase brand new never-before-seen routines!

2/7 – Cardiff Kook Run | Starts under the “Encinitas” Sign | Race begins at 7:00 am | Refer to website for pricing | The Annual Cardiff Kook Run 5K, 10K & Costume Contest is a celebration of the greatest town on the map. The scenic loop starts under the “Encinitas” sign and passes by the famous “Cardiff Kook” statue along the historic HWY 101 all the way down to Cardiff State Beach.

2/9– Hillcrest Fat Tuesday | Urban Mo’s Hillcrest | 7:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m. | GA Tickets: $3 (21+ Event) | Fat Tuesday will feature a night time dance party, carnival style performances, Cajun Cuisine, performances by the lovely ladies of Lips, and cash prizes.

2/13 – Mermaid San Diego 5k, 10k & Half Marathon | South Shores Park | 7:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. | All women’s run along shoreline of East Mission Bay and roadway around Fiesta Island.

2/14 – Coronado Valentine’s Day 5k & 10k | Tidelands Park, Coronado | 8:00 a.m. Start | Register online and see website for more details. This is a Match Making event! At registration you can choose to pick up your choice of bib (different from racing bib): Available, Taken, or It’s Complicated.  Wear the bib on the run and find others that like to run and do events just like you!

2/18 – Sculpture & Cocktails: Art of the Open Air | San Diego Museum of Art; 1450 El Prado | 6:00 – 10:00 pm | 21+ Event | $35 for non-members | Unique to this Sculpture and Cocktails, enjoy a night under the stars in the outdoor garden party space and take a closer look at the sculptural works featured in the Museum’s newest exhibition—Art of the Open Air.

2/19 – 2/20San Diego Winter Brew Fest | Hall of Champions, Balboa Park | 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. | $50 for entry (21+ and up) | Sample some amazing brews from over 40 breweries throughout the night and listen to some great live music!

 2/20 – 13th Annual Guacamole Bowl Cook-Off Contest | 2150 Pan American Rd West, Balboa Park | 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. | Admission $5.00 – includes a bag of chips and a vote of your choice | Benefits “Sports for Exceptional Athletes”

2/23 – 3/26The Book of Mormon | San Diego Civic Theatre | Various Times & Ticket Prices | This outrageous musical comedy follows the misadventures of a mismatched pair of missionaries, sent halfway across the world to spread the Good Word.

2/26Rihanna “Anti World Tour | Viejas Arena | 7:30 p. m. | Various Prices | The kick-off to Rihanna’s World Tour for her latest album.
