Solara Lofts 405 | Loft Living Downtown

Solara Lofts- Cortez Hill

Located on the Corner of 4th and Cedar is one of Downtown San Diego’s most unique residential buildings- Solara Lofts.

Solara Lofts was completed and offered new residential condos for sale back in 2007, but the building itself existed long before as a commercial building. This heavy-duty concrete and steel structure was unique because it was built on a commercial frame, with 4 subterranean parking levels- a unique quality for a building with a footprint of its size. The building was completely gutted and rehabilitated and completed in 2007 as one of Downtown San Diego’s rare adaptive Reuse Buildings.

For an in depth look at Solara Lofts, watch the video below.

Custom Designed Lofts

When the new condos at Solara Lofts were offered back in 2007, buyers had countless options for designing their condos, because they were originally offered as a shell. The developer, Skandia Construction was also the general contractor, who would work with each individual buyer in designing walls, custom built-ins, sliding panel systems and more. This gave buyers more options than any other development at the time, and really allowed each homeowner put their specific needs into the design of their home.

Solara Lofts Residence 405

Solara Lofts Residence 405 is the largest of the H Floorplans, which is a rectangular shaped loft with Wet facing orientation. It is unique in that it has a Wall of windows to the West, but because of the architecture of the building, it also has Southerly exposure, like being on a corner.  This spacious floorplan boasts approximately 868 sq ft of interior space, and with the walls of windows wrapping along the living room area, the loft floods with natural light.  European Tilt and turn windows allow for maximum airflow as the oversized windows allow you to bring the outdoors inside.

The condo itself was customized by Skandia with added walls, creating a bedroom space and custom closet with added storage.  The finished are luxuriously appointed with granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, a full-sized stackable washer and dryer unit.  New carpeting was recently added throughout, making this home feel fresh and new.  This condo is by far one of the best bang-for-the-buck values in downtown currently.  The condo includes a large individual parking space as well as an assigned storage unit.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity to purchase one of Downtown’s best valued condos on the market!
