8/4 – Annual Balboa Park 8-mile & 3-mile Runs | Balboa Park – East side, off Park Blvd & Presidents Way | 7:30 – 10:00 a.m. | See website for fees | Courses are through and around Balboa Park.

8/5 – Annual Lemon Festival | Downtown Chula Vista – Third Ave from E St to Roosevelt | 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. | FREE | For More Information 619-422-1982 | Live entertainment on three stages, international foods, hand crafters, contests & lemons galore!

8/11 & 8/12 – ArtWalk @ Liberty Station, 2018 | Liberty Station | 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. | Celebrate 13 years of bringing visual arts, music, and interactive art-making for families to San Diego in beautiful Ingram Plaza at the Arts District at LIberty Station.

8/12 – Julian Natural Wonderfest | Jess Martin Park in Julian | 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 a.m. | Stretch out on a blanket and take in the Perseid Meteor Shower, the best meteor shower of the year.

8/12 – BAY SESSIONS WITH THE REDWOODS REVUE  | Lowes Coronado | 7:00 p.m. –10:00 p.m. | 21 + | Free outdoor concert features The Redwoods Revue set to the backdrop of the beautiful Coronado Bay and San Diego skyline.

8/12 – Annual CityFest | Hillcrest – 5th Ave & University | 12:00 – 10:30 p.m. | FREE | Popular arts & crafts festival with 250+ vendors, games, activities, beer garden, food & more.

8/17 – Best of San Diego Party | NTC Liberty Station | 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. | $70 – $120 | Celebrate San Diego’s best restaurants, breweries and businesses.

8/17 – 8/19 – Annual Summergrass Bluegrass Music Festival | Vista – Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum, 2040 N Santa Fe Ave | Gates open 8:00 a.m. | Family oriented event with live music, food, music workshops, jam sessions, vendors & activities for kids.

8/18 – 8/19 – World Bodysurfing Championships | Oceanside Pier | Begins at 6am | Body surfers from around the world will compete in their respective age divisions for trophies and prizes.

8/17 – 8/18  – Latin Food Fest 2018 | Embarcadero, San Diego Bay | 11:00 am – 3:00 pm | Come and celebrate our next Hispanic culinary extravaganza!

8/19 – America’s Finest City Half Marathon & 5K | Cabrillo National Monument & Balboa Park | 7:00 a.m. start | Half marathon begins at Cabrillo National Park and ends in the Pan-American Plaza in Balboa Park, 5k begins and ends at Pan-American Plaza.

8/25 – 8/26 – San Diego Spirits Festival | Port Pavilion on Broadway Pier  | Sat, 2-6pm; Sun 2-5pm | 21+ Event  | Refer to website for pricing & tickets | Cocktail culinary and cultural event where the world of craft spirits, high profile liquors and fine cuisine unite overlooking a sun-drenched San Diego Bay.

8/26 – Annual Bike the Bay | Downtown San Diego – Embarcadero Marina Park South | 7:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. | 25-mile fun bike ride that begins and ends at Embarcadero Marina Park South, food, entertainment & beer garden.
