Pacific Beach is located northwest of downtown San Diego between La Jolla to the north and Mission Beach and Mission Bay to the south. “P.B.,” as it is known as by locals, has one of San Diego’s larger nightlife scenes with a variety of bars, restaurants and clothing stores on Garnet Avenue. The beach stretches for miles from the Mission Bay jetty to the cliffs of La Jolla with a paved boardwalk that is popular with pedestrians, cyclists, rollerbladers and shoppers. Crystal Pier, at the west end of Garnet Avenue, is a focal point of the beach scene.
