South County Coastal encompasses the area south of downtown San Diego from the South San Diego Bay to the border of Mexico.  This stretch of coast includes Imperial Beach, a coastal community with great beaches and outdoor opportunities away from the crowds.  Its close proximity to Mexico makes it convenient for a day trip.
