Sea World is located just a few minutes North of Downtown is San Diego’s beautiful Mission Bay. Originally opened in 1964, Sea World has been one of Southern California’s most popular attractions for decades.
Sea World’s humble beginnings consisted of a handful of dolphins and sea lions, two saltwater aquariums and 45 employees. Today, you will enjoy over 12 shows and 16 exhibits featuring hundreds of marine animals, including Sea World’s most popular marine mammals, the Orcas.

Guests will also enjoy the thrill of Journey to Atlantis, Sea World San Diego’s fantastic roller coaster, as well as seven other rides, including Shipwreck Rapids and for the little ones, run on over to Sea World’s new kids area, Sesame Street’s Bay of Play.
