Comic-Con Is Here!

Wow!  The streets of Downtown San Diego were packed today for the opening day of Comic-Con.  Just within a 5 block radius of our office located on 4th St in the Gaslamp, I saw so many different gatherings.  Let’s see, where do I begin?  The past World Champion hot dog eater was slamming down Mars candy bars in a Mars bar eating competition over by the Tin Fish Restaurant.

The Ghost Busters came were attacking the zombies and even brought the Ghostbuster Wagon.

There were aliens at Gaslamp Square adjacent to the Gaslamp City Square Condo building.  They had an entire pop up tent setup and had a past UFC champion taking pictures with all of the comic-coners in town.  I saw some great costumes including Spiderman, Storm troopers, Darth Vader, Vampires, and all sorts of custom get ups.

Hotels are packed, restaurants are packed and the bars were packed this evening.  There are all sorts of private parties at hotels planned for this weekend and today’s top party was a private party at theOmni sponsored by Patron.  Hollywood celebrities including Sylvester Stalone, Paulie Shore and even Jessica Alba graced the streets of San Diego today.

For other events and evening outings including art, music, creative foods and cocktails, visit San Diego’s only Narrative Arts Museum known as Survey Selectat the Wonderbread Factory in the East Village Neighborhood.
