Rent Vs Buying: San Diego Rents Reach All Time High

The San Diego Union Tribune recently published a new article stating that rents have hit an all time high in San Diego. The average rent is now $1,960 per month, a 5.74% increase over last year. Since 2013, rents have increased anywhere from 3.90% to 8.40% per year.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

Consider buying! One of the many benefits for homeowners is a fixed monthly mortgage payment. On a 30 year fixed mortgage, your monthly payment will stay the same over the next 30 years while your rent payment will likely increase every year!
