2012 San Diego County Fair

The 2012 San Diego County Fair will begins next Friday, June 8 and runs through the 4th of July. The 2012 Fair will be “Out Of This World!”, so join in the fun and explore explore outer space — the wonder of the universe and our efforts to explore it, as well as the fun and imaginative world of science fiction and visitors from other planets!

The fair will once again bring forth a range of fun exhibits, contests, concerts, and attractions sure to satisfy both new and long-time visitors to the fifth largest Fair in North America.

Admission is:

Adults $13.00
Ages 62 and older $7.00
Ages 6-12 $7.00
Ages 5 and younger Free

Hours are:
Admission gates open: 11:00AM, Tuesday-Friday, and Monday, July 2; 
10:00AM Saturday, Sunday, and Wednesday, July 4. 
Admission gates close: 11:00PM Friday and Saturday; 10:00PM Sunday, Tuesday-Thursday and Monday, July 2.
Grounds close: Approximately midnight Friday and Saturday; approximately 11:00PM Sunday, Tuesday-Thursday and Monday, July 2.
Please note: The fair is closed on Mondays, except for July 2nd.

Parking:
$10.00 per vehicle ($15.00 for RVs) in the Fair’s paid parking lots. Free parking and shuttle service is available every day at Horsepark, 2.5 miles east of the Fairgrounds at the intersection of Via de la Valle and El Camino Real. On weekends and Wednesday, July 4, free parking and shuttle service is available at MiraCosta College’s San Elijo campus and Torrey Pines High School. The Fair will have more than 100 food vendors, great exhibits including a fun and educational theme exhibit on Our Body: The Universe Within, thrill rides and attractions, the Paul Ecke Jr. Flower and Garden Show, and a fantastic lineup of headliner entertainment with the Toyota Summer Concert Series on the Heineken Grandstand Stage, the Paddock Concert Series, The Solid Gold Series, the Chevrolet Del Mar Arena, and so much more!

Some of the performers to look forward to are: Cobra Starship, native San Diegan’s Switchfoot, Lonestar, Creedence Clearwater Revisited, Train, Matisyahu and more. Check out the complete list of of the Toyota Summer Concert Series performers. Most concerts are free with Fair admission, however some require an additional show ticket purchase.
